We have chosen a ‘State of the Art’ Violet biophotonic glass bottle for our 100% organic culinary argan oil. Glass is great to protect its content: it has good barrier (protecting) properties, and the color violet is proven superior to protect against UV-A/B sunrays.
The reusable, biodegradable properties of glass are well known. Glass weighs more and breaks easier than PET bottles, thus having an impact on shipping and the carbon footprint.

Biophotonics is the scientific study of the relationship between light, energy, and the human body. The origin is Greek: ‘bios’, meaning ‘life’, and ‘phos’ meaning ‘light’. It is a niche product, in demand by brands who care about sustainability.
What is Biophotonic Glass?
Biophotonic glass is a type of deep Violet colored glass that is thought to be energized by light. Biophotonic glass naturally filters the spectrum of visible sunlight, only allowing through infrared and UVA light, or ‘violet’ light.
Through its natural ability to block light, it protects precious contents from perishing in sunlight, increasing shelf life and even effectiveness.
